Senior Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Process Design & Vetting Engineer to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an oil and gas pipeline project. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in process design, engineering, and project execution for oil and gas infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the technical integrity, safety, and efficiency of process designs while meeting client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Design and Review:
    • Lead the development, review, and approval of process design documents, including PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing calculations.
    • Evaluate and vet process design deliverables from contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and best practices.
  2. Technical Oversight:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team during the design, phase of the pipeline project.
    • Ensure alignment of process designs with project objectives, client expectations, and industry standards.
  3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Conduct HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other safety reviews, ensuring all identified risks are adequately addressed and mitigated.
    • Evaluate process safety aspects and ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  4. Interface Management:
    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and electrical engineers, to resolve design and integration issues.
    • Serve as a key interface between the client, contractors, and vendors on process design-related matters.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare and review technical reports, design basis documents, and project specifications.
    • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on design progress, challenges, and solutions.
  6. Vendor and Contractor Coordination:
    • Review and approve vendor technical submissions, including equipment and material specifications.
    • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to technical requirements and project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role for oil and gas pipeline projects.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, or equivalent. Strong understanding of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).

Program Manager – Expatriate

Job Overview:

The Program Manager will lead and oversee the successful execution of an oil and gas pipeline project. As a key leader in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, the Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic leadership and governance of the pipeline project, ensuring that project objectives are met in terms of scope, schedule, quality, and budget while also ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This role entails overseeing all project managers and ensuring that all project phases are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will ensure proper resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication to guarantee project success.

This is a senior expatriate role that requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface between the client, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Risk Manager – Expatriate

Position Overview:

The Risk Manager will oversee the identification, assessment, mitigation, and management of risks throughout the lifecycle of the oil and gas pipeline project. This role involves proactively managing risks associated with the pipeline’s design, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases to ensure the successful delivery of the project within budget, on time, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Identification & Assessment:

o Lead the process of identifying potential risks (technical, operational, environmental, regulatory, financial, and geopolitical) that could impact the project.

o Conduct thorough risk assessments, including qualitative and quantitative analyses, and develop risk registers.

o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, safety, environmental, and procurement, to ensure all potential risks are identified and evaluated.

2. Risk Mitigation & Management:

o Develop and implement strategies and action plans for mitigating identified risks.

o Work with project stakeholders to prioritize risks based on their potential impact on cost, schedule, quality, and safety.

o Ensure the development of contingency plans for high-priority risks.

o Monitor risk mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle and adjust strategies as needed.

3. Risk Reporting & Communication:

o Regularly update project leadership and key stakeholders on the status of identified risks, mitigation efforts, and any new risks that emerge.

Required Qualifications:

· Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or equivalent are desirable.

· A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in risk management within the oil and gas industry, preferably with experience in pipeline projects.

· Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2) and risk management techniques.

· In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and safety practices related to oil and gas pipeline construction and operation.

· Experience using risk management software tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, RiskWatch, or equivalent.

Electrical Inspector

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s)concerning the execution of electrical
  • Conduct detailed inspections of electrical systems and installations at pipeline
  • Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss EPC contractor’s submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all electrical systems, equipment, and materials used in the construction of onshore pipeline. This may include:
    • Transformers
    • Switchgear
    • Motors
    • Control panels
    • Cabling and wiring systems
    • Grounding systems
  • Issue inspection reports documenting findings, including any discrepancies or non-conformances.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical contractors, engineers, and other construction personnel to resolve identified issues and ensure corrective actions are
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and
  • Review and verify electrical design documents, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line
  • Inspect new and existing sound and security systems, wiring, lighting, motors, and generating
  • Inspection, sampling and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract
  • Assist in the review and forward comments on the EPC Contractor’s method statement for execution of all electrical
  • Inspect the installation of the electrical wiring for heating and air-conditioning systems, appliances, and other
  • Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used on the project and organize field and laboratory tests, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine its acceptability for use on the
  • Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the
  • Assist in the review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the EPC
  • Any potential safety concerns identified at site shall be reported to site HSE Supervisor and Client Resident
  • Liaise with the Client Resident Engineer for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision provision activities
  • Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the EPC Contractor.
  • Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, verify the installation of Electrical works ensuring compliance with the contract
  • Review and forward any comments on the EPC Contractor’s technical
  • Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned Client Resident
  • Stop construction of non-compliant
  • Examine and inspect wire harnesses, control panels, coaxial cables, and electrical jig boards, for completeness of assembly, quality, and conformance to
  • Inspect wiring of assemblies for accuracy of stripping, soldering, and crimping, and for
  • Verify the accuracy of the EPC contractor’s “As-Built” drawings reflecting in details the as-built conditions and approve the As-Built
  • Look for frayed wires and loose connections
  • Test continuity
  • Compile inspection reports
  • Raise Non-Conformance Notices (NCNs) / reports; Site Inspections Notices (SINs) identify quality deficiencies in conjunction with the Client Resident
  • Review the corrective actions proposed by the EPC Contractor, respond /follow ups and close out procedure
  • Examines parts and assemblies, such as wire harnesses, control panels, coaxial cables, and electrical jig boards, for completeness of assembly, quality, and conformance to blueprints, production illustrations, engineering drawings, and
  • Records acceptance or rejection of parts on inspection report and indicates reason for rejection.     – WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Five (5) years working experience as an Electrical Engineer / Inspector on onshore gas pipeline construction projects.
