Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining integrated a master schedule for all Pipeline activities including interfaces with 3rd party contractors/vendors, mechanical completion and commission support for internal review purposes including analysis, forecasting, and management reporting
- Work closely with the Pipeline Construction Contractor during the development of their Contract to ensure compliance with all Project Milestones, critical interfaces and adherence to the Project Control Procedure
- Monitor the Contractor’s progress and performance throughout the construction stage up to Start Up Preparation of progress tracking/monitoring sheets, curves, histograms and look-ahead schedules, developed and implemented plan versus actual progress curves.
- Prepare the Planning, Scheduling & Reporting Procedure, Management of Change Procedure.
- Utilize Primavera P6 software to produce and monitor a resource-loaded schedule.
- Responsible for monitoring progress of work during construction- life cycle, analyzing and comparing the approved baseline program of works.
- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement and project team to ensure that project schedules are updated
- Provide up to date data and summary on progress matters as and when needed.
- Ensure that the overall planned project S-Curve against actual progress is usually updated on weekly and monthly cut-off. Ensure all emergent works are added into the schedule and report it influences the project. Highlight critical activities and other constraints and foster possible solutions to mitigate them, Understand the pre-commissioning and set up sequence to incorporate it into the schedule,
- Develop the progress measurement system. Allocate activity weightings and measure physical progress
- Analyze any discrepancy between the planned & actual performance progress on a project on weekly & monthly bases. Ensured that the established progress measurement programs are executed in accordance with the progress measurement procedures.
- Report daily activities on site to the project manager and the client to keep up to date of the activities on site.
- Ensuring adherence to recommended best practices such as the critical path method. Coordinate and regulate various meetings such as project progress review and ailment meetings
- Application of various progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Preparation and issuance of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
- Monitor and help analyze the site instruction and variation order supporting the project control management team to assess potential claims for time impact assessment affecting the final completion of the project
- Monitoring of project man-hours (Direct & Indirect).
- Coordinate and consolidate all Subcontractors Schedules and issued to the management.
- Prepare look ahead schedules for the purpose to plan fabrication activities and goals for the next periods
- Update and document all lesson learned during each completed phase of the project and referenced it for the next project phase.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in project planning within the EPC industry or a related field
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and familiarity with other project management tools
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess project issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
