Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Job Summary: The HSE Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe workplace. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Organize training sessions on health and safety practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and standards.
  • Maintain records of safety-related incidents and propose preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding HSE matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
