Finance Manager
Job Summary: Oversees the collection and analysis of financial information for the organization. Monitors the creation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Plan, Organize, Coordinate and operations of various finance activities including but not limited to account payable, utility billing and cash receipts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial system functions including entering user-defined codes and settings, inputting and posting transactions, importing third-party system files, initiating and verifying system processes, researching data and processing reports.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare and enter journal entries.
- Track, reconcile and submit payments of various taxes and fees, process reports, files and returns due to state and federal government agencies.
- Prepare year-end entries, reconciliations and reports, work with external auditors.
- Retrieve and prepare documents for response to public records requests.
- Participate in overall annual budgetary process.
- Perform cost analysis and recommend process improvements for cost-effectiveness.
- Create financial presentations for management and clients.
- Use financial modelling to stimulate financial scenarios. Participate in overall annual budgetary process.
- Develop best practices to enhance operational performance and productivity.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA e.t.c)
- Registration with or certifications with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria
- Minimum of 7 years relevant working experience at managerial level.
- Must have oil and gas industry experience
- Strong FIRS knowledge
- Liquidity management experience
- Management Accounting, Financial Planning, Monitoring and Performance Management
- MS Office Proficiency
